Askott Entertainment has joined the Golden Crash after being acquired by FansUnite Entertainment! This is a significant accomplishment for the company and hats off to the team for executing the entire process during the market uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through this acquisition, they have formed one of Canada’s leading online gaming companies, focused on sports betting, esports wagering, and casino games. They will benefit from an expanded consumer base, business base, and betting offerings, as well as broader reach though new gaming licenses. Scott Burton, CEO of Askott, will become the CEO of FansUnite, Jeremy Hutchings, the CTO of Askott, will become the CTO of FansUnite, and Ian Winter, the COO of Askott, will become the COO of FansUnite, which is a testament to the strength of the Askott executives.

Askott is very special to Rhino because they mark our first ever investment back in 2015. Our teams co-located in the early days in the Bunker (pictured above) and we’ve truly "grown up" together while supporting their team over the past five years which has been a very rewarding experience. The grit, determination, and passion their team has demonstrated while building Askott has been inspiring to witness and we are very excited for them on their successful outcome.
